'Butterfly Empress':
A large and striking mask that is surprisingly lightweight and comfortable, due to the cutout shapes that form the design. Painted in iridescent colors that shade delicately from one to the other, this mask would be the perfect accessory to an elegant gown or colorful costume.
Like all my masks, this one is made from vegetable-tanned leather, hand tooled and shaped, then hardened with water and heat. It is then painted with a combination of non-toxic, water-based dyes and acrylics, then sealed to protect it from dirt and moisture.
