Welcome to the Queen's Garden. . .
The first of a series of masks inspired by Alice in Wonderland. I made this one thinking of the scene where the cards have to paint the white roses red.
Like all my masks, this one is made from vegetable-tanned leather, hand tooled and shaped, then hardened with water and heat. It is then painted with a combination of non-toxic, water-based dyes and acrylics, and sealed to protect it from dirt and moisture.
